Bronze Wing Pionus < Feathered Frenzy

The Bronze Wing Pionus is a rainbow of color. In the mature bird, the feathers are shades of green, bronze, blue, pink, white, red, and purple. This species isn't as popular as some of the other pionus parrots, but they aren't terribly difficult to find from a breeder. They have a somewhat shyer personality than the other pionus, and benefit from regular handling. They need time to adapt to a new environment, so space must be respected during the initial transition to a new home. Pionus parrots are referred to as "perfect parrots" because they are much quieter than their size would indicate. They are quite capable of making noise, however, just less than similarly-sized birds.
