Citron Cockatoo < Feathered Frenzy

The citron cockatoo is sometimes referred to as the "apartment-sized 'too," but this parrot is actually too loud to be kept in an apartment. Essentially, it looks like a miniature sulphur crested cockatoo, but is reported to have a calmer disposition. The crest is made up of whitish feathers, behind which are long, bright yellow-orange ones. The crest will stand up when the bird is excited. It is easier to read the body language of crested birds because those feathers up top can be very expressive! This species has pale cheek patches, and splashes of yellow on its body and under the wings and tail.
