Feathered Frenzy > Green Cheeked Amazon
|
The green cheeked amazon, also known as the Mexican red headed amazon, is a medium sized species with a bright red patch just past the beak. It is an extremely noisy parrot, and its talking ability is nowhere near the extent of some of its amazon cousins. However, it is said to have a more even temperament, without the wild mood swings you usually see in the amazons. The Green Cheeked Amazon is a very loving pet, but will still have its favorite people - and those that should see with their eyes, not with their fingers! Like other larger parrots, this bird needs plenty of chew toys and a big roomy cage to climb in.
