Timneh African Grey < Feathered Frenzy

Timneh African Greys are inquisitive parrots that love to interact with you. They are smaller than their cousins (in the nine to eleven inch range, and generally weighing 2/3rds as much), the Congo African Grey, and sport a darker maroon tail compared to the Congo's bright red one. The upper mandible is a lighter flesh color, whereas it is entirely black in the Congo. If continually worked with, some timmies can obtain quite a large vocabulary, although this is no guarantee your bird will talk at all. They are generally quite adept at imitating noises- including your doorbell, microwave beep, and telephone! They have a tendency to be terrified of new people, surroundings, and even toys, so the owner must be very patient in slowly adapting the bird to new things.
