White-Fronted Amazon < Feathered Frenzy

Spectacled Amazons are not a very common pet bird in captivity, though they are easily bred and relatively easy to take care of. They are the smallest of the amazons, weighing in at a mere 200 grams and only measuring about 9"! The bird has a white patch of feathers on the forehead (hence white fronted) as well as red "eye liner" around the eye (hence spectacled). Use of either common name is correct. This little bird has all the personality of its larger cousins, so a big roomy cage with plenty of chew toys is a definite must. The white fronted amazon is a nice alternative for someone that wants a bigger bird personality in something smaller with a shorter lifespan.
